Midas is searching for a Salesperson /2IC to join the branch in Edenvale .The purpose of this role is to support the Retail Manager in all retail, operational, and sales functions to ensure profitability, cost control, and excellent customer satisfaction. The incumbent is responsible for driving sales, exceeding targets, managing counter sales, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the effective functioning of the retail branch.

Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Diploma in Business Management or Marketing- Desirable
  • 3-5 years’ knowledge and experience of sales and marketing of spares/ vehicle parts
  • Extensive experience in an automotive sales environment dealing with customer needs.
  • Supervisory experience-Essential
  • Ability to communicate on all levels
  • Assertive with sound interpersonal skills are essential
  • Strong attention to detail is essential
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Technical background- Desirable
  • Proven track record
  • In depth product knowledge
  • Some business acumens, understanding the costs and breakeven scenarios of customer service delivery
  • Should be able to carry out his/her responsibilities with little supervision
  • Thorough knowledge of the geographical area of responsibility.

Key Performance Indicators includes, but not limited to:
  • Planning, organizing,forecasting and controlling of Retail Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of warehouse and sales support staff
  • Ensure the compliance with safety, health, and security laws & regulations
  • Assist with IR, HR matters
  • Ensure that the quality standards are maintained
  • Continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage counter sales and ensure that optimal customer potential is achieved
  • Understand & manage the daily function of a retail shop
  • Know the market and grow the existing customer base
  • Acts as the first point of contact with the customer, portraying professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer service
  • Achieve the sales target set by the Sales/Branch/Retail Manager

  • Report all customer information regarding delivery, telesales, and account problems.
  • Achieve revenue targets and ensuring that new business is generated by growing customer base and increasing market share in the geographical area of responsibility.
